Fisher Peak

Cranbrook's most visable and favourite mountain in the BC Rockies. You can see this mountain from almost everywhere in the city.

Wildflowers grow in abundance in the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountains. This image of high alpine and rugged glaciated peaks is only about a 4 hour drive from Cranbook.

Many other high alpine vistas await within an hour drive of the city.

*** Fort Steele Heritage Town. A BC Provincial Heritage Site. Visit the resoted 1890s boom town. Walk through the townsite and see over 60 shops, buildings, watch famring displays, ice-cream making, street theatre and ride the restored steam train. Feel like you are back in time.
