Hospital Services

DENTAL CARE

Regular professional dental cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe dental ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gumline. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface that is more resistant to plaque buildup.

See our Pet Dental Page.      See also our Photo Tour of Dental Surgery

We use safe anesthetic agents and commonly give intravenous fluids while the patient is undergoing dental cleaning and other surgeries. We also offer a pre-anesthetic exam and blood work as part of our routine dentisty.

For more photos and info about our services see our Hospital Tour Index Page.

See our Anesthetic protocol and recommendations page.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause, sometimes it can manifest in stress, destructive or aggressive behaviour. Ask our trained staff about behavioral concerns of your dog or cat.

By working with you and observing your pet, we may discover causes and find treatment options that may correct such troubling behavior as separation anxiety, jealousy and obsessive behavior.

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

DAY CARE For Hospitalized Patients

While your pet is in the hospital, our staff frequently check their health status and comfort levels. Hospitalized dogs that are able, are taken outside for exercise in our fenced dog-walk.

As the hospital ward cages are within our main treatment area, we can monitor and examine your pet throughout the day. Many pets while in the hospital enjoy the human interaction, and they often watch our staff and clients move around the large treatment room.
