DENTAL CARE

Regular professional dental cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe dental ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gumline. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface that is more resistant to plaque buildup.

See our Pet Dental page.

We use safe anesthetic agents and commonly give intravenous fluids while the patient is undergoing dental cleaning and other surgeries. We also offer a pre-anesthetic exam and blood work as part of our routine dentistry.

See our Anesthetic protocol and recommendations page.

RADIOLOGY

Radiology or x-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

ULTRASOUND

See our Ultrasound page.

Ultrasound is a non-invasive technology using sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Sometimes pain and stress are manifested by destructive or aggressive behavior. Ask our veterinarians about behavioral concerns in your dog or cat.

By working with you and observing your pet, we may be able to provide treatment options for such behavior problems as; separation anxiety and compulsive behaviors, etc.

GROOMING AND BATHING

"Doggies Only" is our small and medium size dog grooming studio.

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath and your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. Bathing will also remove that doggie pet odor. Our skilled dog groomer will trim your dogs fur to suit their breed or she will cut their fur to suit your preferences.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Food Room

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff are available to help you choose the right diet to help your pet stay happy, healthy and active.

INTERNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic surgery, Oncology and Endocrinology.

IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in bringing your pet in for an Annual Wellness Examination has rewards for both pets and owners. The Annual Wellness Examination is designed to check all major body systems and detect age related changes. We recommend that all pets over 8-years-old be examined by their veterinarian once a year.

During the annual physical exam, the veterinarian checks the skin, coat, teeth, hearing, eyes and the veterinarian comments on the vital statistics of your pet. The tests include; comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing (deworming and flea control) and vaccination.

We also offer a Senior Pet Wellness Exam and Blood/Urine Profile testing. This optional blood testing is evaluated in our hospital laboratory and it measures the condition of internal organs, detects infections and many other values.

Call our hospital for more details.

SURGERY

We offer advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Our well trained veterinary and technical staff ensures the safest, most efficient procedures. Some of the technology we use includes: heated surgery tables for greater comfort and better recovery, ECG, oxygen saturation monitors, blood pressure and respiration monitors. We monitor your pet extensively during and after the surgery and we provide take-home pain relief as needed.

See our Anesthetic Protocol page.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

DAY CARE For Hospitalized Patients

Ward

While your pet is in the hospital, our staff frequently check their health status and comfort levels.

As the hospital ward cages are within our main treatment area, we can monitor and examine your pet throughout the day. Many pets while in the hospital enjoy the human interaction, and they often watch our staff and clients move around the large treatment room.
