How do Pets react to the
Ultrasound Probe?

Dr Jamie Levine images the abdominal region on a border collie with the ultrasound.

Most pets find the smooth rubbing on their belly to be very calming and some dogs even fall asleep.

The Ultrasound Machine

The Ultrasound makes looking into your pets internal organs safer, easier and provides very accurate imagery. How Ultrasound Works

Ultrasound enables us to see internal structures by transmitting high frequency sound waves into the body. Identical to the technology used in human medicine (particularly human pregnancy evaluation).

This process is completely harmless and painless.

Why Ultrasound is Necessary

Your pet may have symptoms that indicate something could be wrong internally. With ultrasound, we can visualize the heart, kidneys, bladder, stomach, liver and other organs to help determine your pet's condition. ... without surgery.

Ultrasound can allow us to diagnose quickly,
saving time, stress and very often, the lives of our patients.

We also have a
digital X-Ray machine.

Our new radiograph technology can provide accurate exposures and present detailed x-rays in seconds. Our staff can now send radiographs via email to specialists and to offer to our clients x-ray images to take home.

The digital imaging of our practice also compliments our Ultrasound and the two systems are linked.

We now use the Ultrasound Room for client viewing of our digital X-Rays as well as the Ultrasound.
