Dr. Amélie Mathieu

Dr. Amélie Mathieu is a veterinarian and board certified specialist in zoological medicine who brings advanced training in avian and exotic pets to our hospital. She enjoys caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.

In the clinic, Dr. Mathieu combines her zoological medicine background with a practical, compassionate approach to everyday veterinary care. She is committed to helping owners understand the unique and diverse needs of their pets, whether they are feathered, scaled, or furry.

Outside her clinical work, Dr. Mathieu contributes to wildlife health and conservation across British Columbia. She works with species such as southern mountain caribou, bighorn sheep, deer, wild turkeys, and beavers, carrying out population health assessments, disease surveillance, field program support, and community outreach to support healthier, more resilient wildlife populations.
